Double ikat is one of the rarest weaving techniques in the world; both the warp and the weft are tied and dyed by hand before weaving, which gives every motif its soft, feathered edge. The fabric is a light, handwoven cotton in a deep red, scattered with bottle green rounds and eight-pointed stars in scarlet and saffron.

The front is gently pleated with a drawstring waist, and the back is elasticated for comfort. It falls to a graceful ballerina length and wears beautifully with a fine knit in winter or sandals in summer.
