story of CHAPEL COLLECTION

Amanda Oliver writes

Welcome to Chapel Collection. After living in Southeast Asia for several years, I revisited India in 2010 and quickly became captivated by the region's textiles. I started traveling to different cities, meeting master weavers, artisans, and designers. Each connection led to new discoveries of traditional textiles unique to the local area. Inspired by what I found, I launched Chapel Collection to share these incredible crafts with the world.

Today, Chapel Collection has built strong relationships with renowned designers across India, including Chinar Farooqui, founder of Injiri, Rina Singh of Eka, which embraces simplicity, and Santanu Das of Maku, known for his passion for indigo.

We’re fortunate to offer exclusive designs and continuously seek out smaller workshops, bringing their work to a wider audience. Our collection celebrates traditional techniques like handloom weaving, block printing, embroidery, and the use of natural dyes whenever possible. We work only with natural fibers such as silk, cotton, linen, and wool.

Driven by a passion for creating beautiful clothing and accessories, we’re also committed to supporting small communities and preserving local craftsmanship.
